Remote staffing built for construction companies

How It Works

How we find, screen and place a remote construction professional.

Seven steps from the first conversation to a professional working inside your team. You define the role and you choose the person. We carry the search, the screening, the hiring and the follow-up.

7 steps

From defining the role to continued support after the hire

3 to 5

Pre-screened candidates presented for a typical position

2 weeks

The process, step by step.

The process is built so you can find and integrate qualified remote talent without running a recruitment campaign yourself. Our team carries the search and the selection; you keep every decision that matters.

STEP 01

Identifying the need

We meet with you to understand the position you need to cover: the main responsibilities, the experience required, the working hours, the tools and software the role has to use, and the characteristics of the candidate who would genuinely fit your team.

STEP 02

Search and recruiting

Our recruiting team starts the search for professionals who meet the agreed profile. We also draw on a pool of talent we have already identified and evaluated, which often shortens the timeline considerably.

STEP 03

Evaluation and pre-selection

We run interviews and filters to assess experience, English level, technical skills, communication, availability and compatibility with your requirements. Candidates who do not clear that bar do not move forward.

STEP 04

Presenting candidates

You receive a short selection of the profiles that best meet your needs. You are not asked to manage the search or work through large volumes of applications to find them.

STEP 05

Interview and selection

You interview the candidates presented and decide which professional best suits your team and the needs of the position. The hiring decision stays with you.

STEP 06

Hiring and onboarding

Once you have chosen, Helping Companies manages the hiring process and coordinates the incorporation of the professional so they can start working with your team.

STEP 07

Continued support

After the hire we keep supporting both the client and the professional, following up and providing support throughout the working relationship. The goal is a long-term team member, not a placement that ends on the start date.

How long a placement takes.

Our objective is to present qualified candidates quickly. Within a maximum of roughly two weeks we can normally have three to five pre-selected candidates who meet the requirements of the position and are ready for you to evaluate and interview. From that point the final hiring time depends mainly on your own evaluation and decision process.

Your call

The interview and hiring decision remains entirely yours

Why speed matters on your side

The strongest professionals are in high demand and are usually taking part in more than one selection process at the same time. Running your interviews and reaching a decision promptly significantly increases the chance of securing your preferred candidate, and it prevents highly qualified profiles from becoming unavailable while the decision is still open.

What every candidate is measured against.

Selection is done against the requirements agreed for your position, not against a general standard. Six factors are assessed on every search.

Experience

Relevant background in the kind of work the position owns, weighted toward construction industry exposure.

Technical knowledge

The specific competence the role requires, whether that is takeoffs, project documentation, accounting workflows or drafting.

English level

Assessed directly, because the role has to communicate with your team, your suppliers and in many cases your clients.

Software and tools

Command of the platforms the position is defined around, established as a requirement before the search begins rather than checked afterwards.

Availability

Hours and time zone overlap confirmed against your schedule, whether the role is part time or full time.

Fit with your company

Compatibility with how your business runs, how work is reviewed and what the position is expected to own.

Part time or full time, in the time zone you work in.

Professionals can be hired part time or full time depending on the operational needs of your company. Coverage is concentrated in Eastern Time, where our availability is widest, and we also support Central, Mountain and Pacific Time after confirming the availability of the professional against your hours.

Part time or full time, decided while the role is defined

Eastern Time: primary coverage and the widest availability

Central, Mountain and Pacific Time: supported, availability confirmed per role

Your physical location is not a limit, because the model is remote

Questions about the process.

If your situation is not covered here, a consultation is the fastest way to get a straight answer.

How long does it take to hire a remote construction professional?

Within a maximum of approximately two weeks we can normally present three to five pre-selected candidates who meet the requirements of the position and are ready to be interviewed. The final hiring time from there depends mainly on how quickly your own evaluation and decision process moves.

How many candidates will we be shown?

Typically three to five, all of them already interviewed and screened against the requirements agreed for your role. The point of presenting a short selection is that you review candidates rather than applications.

Who makes the final hiring decision?

You do. Helping Companies runs the search, the evaluation and the pre-selection, and coordinates the process. You interview the candidates presented and decide which professional fits your team and the needs of the position.

Why does deciding quickly matter?

Strong professionals are in high demand and are usually participating in several selection processes at once. Interviewing promptly and deciding without a long gap significantly increases the likelihood of securing your preferred candidate and avoids losing qualified profiles while the decision is open.

Do you handle the hiring and onboarding?

Yes. Once you select a candidate, Helping Companies manages the hiring process and coordinates the incorporation of the professional into your team. We continue following up with both sides after the start date.

What if the role we need is not one you list?

We run custom searches for positions outside the roles we publish. The requirements are defined with you first, then the search is run against them in the same way.

Can the professional work in our time zone?

Coverage is concentrated in Eastern Time, where availability is widest. Central, Mountain and Pacific Time are also supported; in those cases we confirm the availability of the professional against your working hours before presenting anyone.

Step one is a conversation about the role.
